MOAA is there for officers at every stage of their lives–fighting for younger officers on issues like pay raises and easing deployment stress, helping second career officers find their next position (TOPS), providing scholarships to families to help with college costs, and protecting earned retirement benefits. Our Mission
The Tampa chapter is a Five-Star organization dedicated to supporting MOAA’s primary purpose:
To maintain a strong national defense and to ensure our nation keeps its commitments to currently serving, retired, and former members of the uniformed services and their families and survivors.
How We Help
The TAMPA CHAPTER-MOAA, one of the largest and recognized as one of the top chapters in the Nation, has a very basic and focused approach for all officers on Active duty, Reserve, National Guard, and retired officers–WE’VE GOT YOUR BACK!
Just some of the things our Tampa MOAA chapter members are involved with: Veterans Treatment Court, Operation Helping Hand, Local MOAA Scholarships, Outreach that includes our Coalition partners at McDill AFB, Chapter Buddy Checks, and supporting the JROTC.
We’re officers just like you, so we understand what is important to you. You are focused on doing your job to the best of your ability, planning to attend the next level of schooling required for advancement, buying a house, buying a car, getting your kids in good schools, coaching soccer or little league teams and being a good parent or spouse. You do not have the time to monitor what bills are going through the Senate or the House and how will that affect you in the present or in the distant future–WE’VE GOT YOUR BACK! MOAA is the largest, most effective organization advocating for officers and their families. We have over 376,000 members and when MOAA LEADERS TALK TO CONGRESS–THEY LISTEN! Without MOAA, many of the SBP–would never have happened. We need every officer on board to stay effective – WE’VE GOT YOUR BACK!
